Biterite wins Best Dental Laboratory at first PLA Awards

Biterite were named as the first ever winner of the Best Dental Laboratory (more than 3 technicians) Award at the first annual Private Laboratory Awards held at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington on Friday, 25 January 2013.

The Awards attracted entries from dozens of the UK’s leading laboratories, with the Best Dental Laboratory (more than 3 technicians) category resulting in a shortlist of some 8 laboratories.

Biterite’s Best Laboratory award was capped off with the second place Highly Commended award in the category for Most Innovative Laboratory.

Many of our technicians and support staff attended the Awards ceremony, taking to the stage en masse to collect the award.

Michael Joseph said, “It’s a huge honour for us, and testament to the outstanding effort and teamwork contributed by all our technicians and support team. I’m absolutely thrilled, and to be the first ever winners of what I am certain will go on to set the benchmark for excellence in the profession is particularly rewarding.”

We’d taken these Awards very seriously, committing time and the resource of our marketing consultant, Laurence Blume of freelancecopywriter.co.uk in developing a focused and authoritative narrative to tell our story in a way appropriate to each category we wished to enter.

This clearly paid dividends, as in addition to our success in the Best Dental Laboratory (three or more technicians) category, we were also Highly commended in the category of Most Innovative Laboratory.

“Biterite took this Awards event extremely seriously’, says Laurence. “Michael Joseph was determined that the entry should show the lab to its very best advantage. It’s a real commitment for a company like Biterite to invest in photography, filmmaking, editing and all the other things that go into preparing a professional submission. But my impression is that this is a terrific lab with great energy and ambition, and I think it was worth giving it its very best chance. That certainly seems to have paid off.”
